Quest 3: Teaching Plan

This section discusses the curcciulum and my personalized lesson plan that I used during my Grand Demonstration.

Curriculum

SD Sint Carolus Elementary School uses two curriculums which are the K13 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum. The K13 Curriculum is implemented through activity-based learning using a scientific approach meanwhile the Merdeka Curriculum which translates to “Freedom of Learning” is an adaptive and flexible curriculum to which links the students' knowledge to the real-world concepts. The class Level 3 and 6 uses the K13 curriculum whereas the class level 1,2,4, and 5 uses the Merdeka Curriculum.

Teaching Plan Related to your Major

According to the University of Michigan, a lesson plan is the instructor's road map of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time. In my Lesson Plan, I was encouraged by my Resource Teacher to use my Lesson Plan template since it will be easier for me to implement them since I am familiar using it. After all the contents input in the lesson plan I made sure that it was examined by my Resource Teacher in order to certify that the contents and activity in my lesson plan is applicable to use in class. After how many revisions my lesson plan is finally approved!
