Procedures of Teaching
Following my Lesson Plan, I started my teaching practice with a prayer and motivation where I played a Youtube clip about family. First, I had a review of what they know by asking them about the family members. The following activity is the introduction of the extended family.
For the discussion, I introduce the word nuclear and extended family to widen their vocabulary and discuss the components and differences of the nuclear and extended family. When introducing the word nuclear I act to form a big circle and let my students follow me. When introducing the extended family, I stretched my arms and let them follow me to remember that extended family consists of other relatives.
For the next activity, I provided my students with a script that they will memorize and in the script they will introduce their family to their friend by showing their family picture.
The following activities are the application of values and the topic. I asked the students in what ways they can show their love to their family. Showing the pictures from the powerpoint, I asked them what activities they do when spending time with their family. After that, I have given them a worksheet to answer to help them be familiar with the family members using the English language.
Lastly, to improve their English speaking and their creativity, I assigned the students to make a 30 second - 1 minute video vlog showcasing their love for their family.
As the class is ending, I assigned a student to lead the grace and to thank the Almighty for guiding me and the class today.

Time Management and Organizing Activities
I, together with my co-SEA aspirant, go to school every 6:00 - 6:30 and attend the teachers prayer to be followed with announcements. After that that is where our day begins. If I have free time in the morning I usually go around the area to talk to the students to teach them English and get to know them more. Sometimes, whenever I get the chance to talk to students who are English speakers I ask them to teach me Bahasa and I list it down in my notes.
Classroom Management
As an elementary teacher, it is very important to get the students' attention because if the students get bored or distracted they will stop listening to your discussion. When students start to roam around the classroom I go near them and tell them to go back to their seats. When students start to be talkative or no longer paying attention I call them out by saying eyes on me and let them do the one clap, two clap, three clap chant once we are done I proceed to continuing my discussion.
Problem-solving while Teaching and Staying in the Designated School
One of the characters we must instill as student teachers is to become flexible. Despite having our lesson plans and visualizations, sometimes, things do not go the way we thought it should be. One of the challenges that I encountered is the language barrier. Given that I am teaching a lower grade level who are non-English speakers, it was really challenging because the students will often just stare at you. In times like this, I recall basic Bahasa words I know and try to put it all together hoping to be understood by the students. Still, despite the language barrier, I still try my best to communicate with them through body language and use of signals.
